The Top 10 Most Popular Hip Hop Singles The Week Of 3/10/14

Kendrick Lamar joins YG on “Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin)” and Lil Wayne’s “Moment” appears on his recent Young Money compilation. With the 2014 installment of the SXSW festival well underway, HipHopDX’s Top 10 this week features highlights of Lil Boosie’s recent release from prison, the anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death on Sunday, and plenty more. With YG’s Kendrick Lamar feature on a cut culled from the Compton rapper’s upcoming My Krazy Life debut, “Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin)” climbed to the top of the list after its release on Thursday (March 13). Lil Wayne’s solo offering from the recently released Young Money compilation rises into the Top 3 after last week’s spot at #4. An unreleased and still mysterious Jay Z and Daft Punk track rounds at the Top 3 after its early-week release.
The rest of the Top 10 includes appearances from Freddie Gibbs, whose Madlib produced full-length is out next week, Lil Boosie’s post-prison press and recording run, and a The Notorious B.I.G. remix in honor of the anniversary of his death.
