A message in a bottle tossed in the sea in Germany 101 years ago, believed to be the world’s oldest, has been found!!!!
Much of the ink on the postcard has been rendered illegible with time and dampness. The discovery will be on display at a museum in Germany until May 1, after which experts will set to work trying to decipher the rest of the message.
Get this though, researchers set to work identifying the author and managed to track down his 62-year-old granddaughter Angela Erdmann, who lives in Berlin.
I’m hoping the message said the following:
“I saw a mermaid…she had a pet lobster.”
“I found a giant blue diamond & a portrait of a hot chubby girl that looks like your grandmother!”
But seriously, how cool would it be to find anything from a grandparent after not seeing them after so many years.
