Iggy Azalea Earns First No. 1 Record with “Fancy”


Iggy Azalea has plenty to celebrate about. The biggest news, her first-ever No. 1 hit-song with her Charli XCX collaboration “Fancy.” The Aussie rapper earns top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 this week, dethroning John Legend’s “All of Me,” which was No. 1 for three straight weeks. With her feature on Ariana Grande’s “Problem” rising to No. 2 on the charts, Azalea joins The Beatles as the only acts to have top two songs simultaneously with their first two Hot 100 hits.Iggy also becomes the fourth solo female rapper to have a No. 1 hit song. She joints Lauryn Hill (“Doo Wop (That Thing)”), Lil’ Kim (on Christina Aguilera, Mya and P!nk “Lady Marmalade”), and Shawnna (on Ludacris’ “Stand Up”).”Number 1,” tweeted Iggy, as Charli XCX followed saying “Fancy is number 1. #DEAD.”
